"Laird Laird, wake up." I slowly open my eyes to Marcos smiling. I sit up and rub my eyes and say good morning. He smiled again and asked me if he could help me pack for the long flight home. He seemed satisfied when I said yes. We got all my stuff packed up and took it to the door and then we made breakfast. Today he wanted me to help him with breakfast. We made pork with mango seasoning, beans and had pina juice (pineapple juice). We ate our breakfast and then we called a taxi put my stuff in the taxi and said my goodbyes. We did a handshake which turned into a hug. I told him I would come back when I could, then I got into the taxi and left.

My visit in the Philippines day 2
CACKAHHH. A rooster. I slowly open my eyes to the sound of cackling chickens and the scent of mud and ocean air. I get up put some shorts and a t-shirt on. I then go to the kitchen. Once I leave my room I am overwhelmed by the smell of eggs some kind of meat and and tortillas. I enter the kitchen and see Marcos busily cooking. I ask him what he is cooking and he tells me spanish ham, eggs and tortillas. He keeps cooking so I sit down. After two minutes or so he asks me to go to the market and get some guavas. He tries to give me money but I tell him I will pay. So I walk down the path into the market. I am a bit scared and self conscious being the only American. I find a place selling guava and I motion how many I want. It was very hard to communicate but he finally understood I wanted four. He then counted my money and shook his head. I then put more money on the table and he shook his head again. I then realized he was giving money back and then he showed me that I needed to give him a peso. After we finally figured it out I walked back to Marcos's house. He was laughing and I asked him why he was laughing he said it was hilarious watching me try to figure the market out, I laughed too. We had our delicious breakfast and we went to go feed the pigs, chickens and goats. That was a lot of fun but it smelled terrible. After doing that we went to the beautiful ocean and swam. We were in the water for maybe an hour than we went to buy lunch in the market. We had a sandwiches from the market. After that we went to the house to get some more feed for the livestock. We fed the the chickens, goats and pigs. Once we finished that we went for a walk in the jungle because he wanted to show me the monkeys. We were close to where they were but it was getting dark and you don't want to be in the jungle at night we went back to the house ate our sandwich leftovers and went to sleep.
